Hectic Films The Lackey Hits the DVD Racks

Ok so I know there has been quite a few people asking us where can we see this movie?  And now we have an answer for you.  Sept 10th The Lackey will be released into wild.  This has been a long time coming for The Hectic Films crew and all the hard work is starting to pay off. The Film starring Shaun Piccinino, Guy Grundy and Vernon Wells is throw back action adventure.  About a guy Jude St Clare who takes one last job to save his newly discovered daughter.  As you may get it by now the job is something illegal and he is going to get a lot of money to do it.  So his daughter will have a lot of money.

When we premiered it at the Fox Theater in Bakersfield,Ca the crowd seemed pleased.  So pleased that most followed us to two other film festivals.  Which was awesome!  A lot of work went into the making of this film so we here at Hectic really hope you enjoy it!  Because that would really suck if you didn't!  So please when you see this film on the shelves just buy it and watch it.  Please!  Much love and thanks to all that have supported us in the making of this film.  You are awesome!  Now here are some links if you wanna find out more information about this project:

Hooray for Hollywood!

I remember going to the melodrama when I was very young with my grandma.  We never missed a holiday show and loved going whenever we could.  The actors, the stages, the crowd cheering... it's what made me what to get into acting and, of course, get into film.  Now, twenty years later, I am going to finally be a part of some of the magic that happens onstage at the new Melodrama in Bakersfield, CA.

I got to team up with the very creative Michael Prince and shoot a scene for his upcoming show,  "Hooray for Hollywood."  I have been taking my family to share the magic I had felt as a child since the Melodrama moved. What an honor to be a part of a project like that! :)  The scene that I filmed was a scene from the movie they are making in the play.  Shaun and Ally did a great job in bringing back that old Hollywood feel.  The show Hooray For Hollywood will be from March 22 through May 4th at the Melodrama in Bakersfield,CA.  More information will be on their site:  http://www.themelodrama.com/

The Last Stand

Now I am a huge Terminator fan. Well I guess not the hugest, like have tattoos of it or anything but I would have to say my Terminator 2 VHS was so played out the scenes jumped.  It was the first movie that felt real to me.  The special effects for the time were amazing and T1000 is probably one of the best bad guys of all time.  Here we are a couple decades later.  Me watching all my old action hero's playing old men retired special forces and now the governator now playing an old sheriff in The Last Stand.
I think out of a lot of actors Arnold Schwarzenegger
probably has one of the most interesting careers by far.  The guy can barely speak english and has been in movies, body building and the governor of California.  I mean wow! And what other way to get back in the action movie game as a sheriff in small town making their last stand against the Mexican cartel.  I hate to admit my childhood robotic hero would ever age into a small town sheriff.  I even laughed when I saw the poster.  Joking that their was a cane in the corner of the poster.  But I would have to say after watching the trailer for this film it looks very promising.  Or the people that made the trailer are just really good at tricking people into seeing movies.  Either way they have convinced me to buy a ticket.  But nothing will hold a candle to the first two Terminator Movies!  Ok check out the trailer and tell me what you think!

Help Us Make a Western

We have been working very hard to try and put together a western that would be true to the time and be as epic as possible. With that said things like that cost money. While we have most people that already involved donating their time to make this project a reality we still need some funds to create the costumes, props and give people gas money! So that is where you come in. We need your help and yes we will put your name in the credits. We will also give you a poster of from the film and a copy of the short film! What is Mable? Well it's a Western Love story about a girl that gets kidnapped by thugs and father that wants his daughter back. Mable is a short film that will be entered in to several film festivals. With that said please give us a hand and donate. Even if its just a buck! :)
