We recently were hired to shoot reality star <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angelique_Morgan" target="_blank">Frenchy Morgan's</a> newest music video Stripperland. It was an interesting shoot to say the least and we had a lot of fun working with Frenchy and Jenna Urban on the shoot.<br />
<br />
We even scored some shirts from SYC FUK Clothing which is showcased in the music video. Pretty EPIC! Check out their website here: <a href="http://sycfuk.com/">http://sycfuk.com</a><br />

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<a href="https://www.facebook.com/jsunproductions" target="_blank">Jason Mitchell</a> is a busy man, that’s why I had to slip into the recording studio at Epixx Media Group and lock him in an audio booth to hit him with five quick-fire questions about his involvement with <a href="https://www.facebook.com/hecticfilms/" target="_blank">Hectic Films</a> newest short film <a href="https://www.facebook.com/descensusfilm/" target="_blank">Descensus</a>.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The others left the room and Jason made his way into the booth to set up equipment, I knew opportunity was presenting itself so I slapped at the lock on the door and as he spun around to see what was happening I smashed the intercom button and said, “Looks like you have time for an interview now.”</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
His eyes narrowed and my leg started to tremble in fear so I reached deep and found the courage needed to drag a chair towards me. I sat down and tried to relax as he fogged up the glass between us in a quiet rage.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I grinned knowing he wouldn’t destroy his own studio just to get at me and asked through the intercom, “As a Director, what are the top three things you always like to do before a production starts filming?”</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
He did the unthinkable at that moment and grinned back as he replied, “I really like to go through the script and dissect it thoroughly, to give myself a practical aspect of how to approach bringing everything together. Secondly I get a list of people together that I would need to bring the project full circle, and lastly, I think about what type of equipment I want to use to achieve the look I have in mind.”</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Feeling like things might actually work out here I pushed ahead with the second question and asked, “How did you get started in filmmaking?”</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Jason turned the handle on the door of the audio booth and I watched in horror as it opened. Apparently, the lock didn’t work at all. Jason was a professional though and answered, “I actually started with music videos. It was a good place to start because there is so much involved with making music videos that the experiences helped me to more easily make the jump into filmmaking. Also shooting weddings helped me because you are a one man band when shooting weddings, it’s a ‘run and gun’ mentality, you have to do everything from audio to film to edit on the fly. Shooting weddings really can help to polish your skills.”</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Jason was still grinning as he walked over to the studio door and twisted the lock. I actually heard it click home and jumped up from the chair. Whatever filmmaking questions I had thought of ahead of time completely vanished and in a panic, I blurted out, “Is the book always better than the movie?”</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Jason turned towards me then, a new sparkle in his eye. The grin even wider as he replied, “For me, the movies are always better because I know all the time, effort, and technology that goes into making them. Books are deeper and more forgiving in the fact that you can imagine what you are reading with infinite possibilities but when shooting a film there are so many elements that come into play to create a single vision it just isn't fair to compare them.”</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I didn’t realize I was backing away until I slammed against the wall and a picture fell to the floor, glass shattering from the frame. I glanced down and noticed it was a family picture. “Oh, God no.” I whispered. Jason was slowly walking towards me now and I tried to distract him with another question, “You cut your Hectic Films teeth on Descensus, but you are not a first timer, where else can we see your work?”</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
He pushed the chair I was sitting on earlier out of the way and replied, “Actually surprising enough, Descensus is one of the first short films I have done. It was really a great experience for me. I got to test myself in different facets of filmmaking. I am looking forward to directing, shooting, and editing many more shorts and hopefully work my way into feature films in the near future.”</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
He stood before me now, close to the same height but seemingly looking down from high above as I tried to cower away but had nowhere left to go. I tried a smile and asked, “Skittles or Gummy Bears?”</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
He grabbed a loose cord from the table and started wrapping both ends around his fists as he smiled and answered, “Red Vines.”</div>

<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-TT09VIYfdaM/WTW8Hh84kJI/AAAAAAAAknU/_-mnqJ5F7MAZgb6TWIhjJ3BbshgX3a9XwCLcB/s1600/faith13.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="998" data-original-width="1600" height="199" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-TT09VIYfdaM/WTW8Hh84kJI/AAAAAAAAknU/_-mnqJ5F7MAZgb6TWIhjJ3BbshgX3a9XwCLcB/s320/faith13.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Sometimes fate has a way of bringing two people together. That is exactly what I told the cops when I was recently arrested for allegedly “kidnapping” one of the actors from <a href="https://www.facebook.com/hecticfilms/" target="_blank">Hectic Films</a> upcoming short <a href="https://www.facebook.com/descensusfilm" target="_blank">Descensus</a>. In reality, all I did was stalk him to a local warehouse outlet store and corner him behind the produce section so I could throw some fast paced questions at him and hold a banana towards his face.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
He was a little startled and had that wide-eyed look of appreciation in his eyes when I first shoved him back against the tomato bin and fired off the first question, “Sometimes film sets can be a little intimidating for cast and crew on the first day. You have an uncanny ability to break right through that awkwardness and make everyone feel at home. Is this part of being an actor or just the natural way of Darin Juarez?”</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Naturally, my charming good looks and smooth way with people set his mind at ease once he realized I just wanted to ask about his acting and he replied by screaming, “Help!”</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Realizing that this was going to be a short interview I repeated the question as security swarmed down on me. Once I was handcuffed Darin answered, “I gotta say, thanks for those kind words. I had no idea that was happening. I know how stressful being on set is for everybody so, I guess I just try to keep that in mind and be nice. Plus, if there's one thing I hate it's that barrier between us all when we first meet! I make a pretty strong effort to be open and obliterate that mama jamma!”</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
I asked if that meant I could be freed and he shot a look towards the security guards and shook his head back and forth real quick.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Security was already talking into their shoulder microphones and asking for police to be called so I blurted out the most important question I had, “If a fan wanted to buy you a present, should they go with a snow globe or stuffed animal?”</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Darin’s eyes darted to the snow globe that was embedded in the front of my pants and I gyrated my hips a little to make the snow swirl for him. “Stuffed animal!” he answered.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
I tried to hide my disappointment as a tear came to my eye, and swallowed my hope as I said, “It’s clear you can act, but I heard you also like to write. Any writer credits in the works that we should keep an eye out for?”</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
As the sound of loud police radios came from the front of the store, Darin answered, “I've got a sci-fi about a fighter pilot being recruited for a top secret project to fuse his consciousness with a combat A.I., two series pilots about musicians coming up from nothing--one about a metal-head, the other about rappers. Then there's some sketches, a scene about a spy couple, and that YouTube series I was writing called The Death of William Draper.”</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
As the police arrived, they changed out my handcuffs I guess so security could keep theirs and asked me if I had any identification. I ignored them and asked Darin, “How would you describe acting if you could only use two words?” I think the cops said something but I only had ears for Darin and waited for him to reply. Finally, he shook his head and grinned, “Damn... I thought this was going to be an easy test. I am to consolidate the whole of what acting means to me, has been to me and where I hope it will continue to lead me, into two magnificent words? Okay. ‘Soul Threshing’.”</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
I may have gotten a little dreamy eyed at that and as the police dragged me away, I yelled out one last question, “Where can people go to find out more about Darin Juarez?”</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Even the cops stopped dragging me at that point and turned to wait for an answer. Darin said, “If you really want more... I'm on:<br />

Principle photography is underway on Hectic Films newest production, Descensus! This dramatic little Indie Film based on a poem by Terry McGhee will star Rickey Bird Jr. as Cole Weir, the normal everyday suburban husband who begins his day in mundane normalcy but who quickly stumbles onto the path less traveled and always feared.<br />

<div style="text-align: justify;">
It’s time to shelve those outdated books you picked up in film school and hope they appreciate solely as a collector's edition somewhere down the road. <a href="http://www.imdb.com/name/nm3626959/" target="_blank">Rickey Bird</a> is here to bring you the only pocket project indie film book you will ever need.<br />
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
From the exciting first thoughts to the nightmare of post-production marketing, Cheap Movie Tricks will give you the direction you need to navigate those sometimes daunting paths of indie filmmaking.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
We’re talking hands on, “This is how we did it!” know how, not regurgitated dribble that has been boringly passed down from book to book over the years with little updating, except for some occasional sponsored industry standards which are out of most indie filmmakers price range anyway.</div>

<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I had a chance to corner Rickey Bird in a home improvement store parking lot late one night to ask the following questions about the book.<br />
<br />
<span style="color: yellow;"><b>Tell us about the book Cheap Movie Tricks:</b></span><br />
It’s a really fun book. I teamed up with Nicholas Belardes and Mango Media to create this very cool book. That really isn’t just a book but a tool that you can keep with you to help you on your journey. There are some really good problem-solving tips that can get you outta tight spots while your filming. This is a book for the filmmaker by the filmmakers. It’s not some wishy washy BS. It has been dubbed the “Punk Rock” style of filmmaking. That’s totally my style. Just get out and get it done no matter what!<br />
<br />
<span style="color: yellow;"><b>How is this book different from others?</b></span><br />
It’s really different. It shows you a basic overview of how to create a short film for under $2000. To help people break away from the studio version of doing things (aka the really expensive way) and do things cheaply. Teaching the tricks you need to know to stretch your buck to the fullest. This is a basic style of filmmaking that I have been doing for over 10 years with short films and feature length films. Think of it as a text book written from years of trial and error filmmaking crammed into a small package.<br />
<br />
<span style="color: yellow;"><b>Is this book only for people who want to get started in filmmaking?</b></span><br />
No, this is a book for everyone that wants to start as well as those currently making films. This isn’t like any industry handbook, this is the extreme indie film handbook. This book goes from concept to film festivals and feature deal proposal.<br />
<b><br /></b>
<span style="color: yellow;"><b>Does the book have Pictures?</b></span><br />
Yes it has pictures and links for videos to go the extra mile for the filmmakers. Behind the scenes photos from a lot of Hectic Films projects and also some cool poster work. Very cool stuff!<br />
<br />
<span style="color: yellow;"><b>What do you hope will happen with this book?</b></span><br />
Honestly, I hope it gets people off their asses and motivated to shoot film. It is, in my opinion, the greatest art form in the world, that can also include any art form in it. From books to music in a film, I think it’s awesome. Video is the king. I want to help lay the ground work to get others motivated to create and give them the motivation they need to follow through to the end!<br />

I did work on a movie called “At Long Last” where I portrayed a young woman that was stuck in her ways. It was really a treat to dive right in. Some people know a huge inspiration for me is Juliette Lewis. I really enjoy her work, especially the work in her younger years. I love her in “Kalifornia” and “The Other Sister.” Roles like the ones she had in those movies are ones I aspire to portray. </div>

<span style="color: yellow;">Making your mark on the film scene as a respected female actor can be a challenging journey. In this regard, can you share with us any obstacles you have faced, and what advice you would give your younger self and/or aspiring actresses/filmmakers?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
To be honest, I believe my biggest obstacle I have faced would be myself. Actors constantly hear “no” and as a person, it’s easy to self-doubt and break down. As cliche as this sounds, I would tell people that it is really important to believe in yourself, no matter how hard it can be. If you have a passion, whatever it may be, go for it. You only live once.</div>

I was there teaching drama to children at a school named Benmat along with tutoring, learning and spending time with the locals. I went through this amazing organization called Young Vision Africa. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">

I wrapped on the film “Darkness on the Edge of Town” this past weekend. I have a few projects in the works and always looking for my next one. <div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: yellow;">Tell us about your involvement with Hectic Films!</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Right, I met Rickey Bird in 2011 or maybe it was 2012 when I worked at a local movie theater. We had mutual friends in the art scene in Bakersfield, CA and ended up bumping elbows somehow and started talking. I mentioned I was interested in what he and the rest of Hectic Films were doing and the rest is history.</div>

<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: yellow;"><i class="">History,</i> you say? Why don’t we talk about this so-called ”<i>history</i>” for a second, when was your first on-set experience?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
That was in July of 2012 for Naked Zombie Girl. Rickey had messaged me and asked if I wanted to come out and help while they filmed. I honestly had zero experience and told him as much, but he was adamant about getting me involved and told me to come out anyway. I remember he said the only rule that I needed to follow was not to stare at Meghan Chadeayne as if I had never seen a naked woman before.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: yellow;">Had you seen a naked woman before?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Of course.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: yellow;">In real life?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Look, I’m not gonna-</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: yellow;">Fine, so you went to the shoot that day, what did you learn from that experience as a filmmaker?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I learned that 5pm call times were more of a suggestion than a requirement at first. Over the years, Rachel (Rickey’s wife) has shaped us all into better time managers. NZG was an amazing on set experience. One of the most inspiring things I saw was that even with a crew of guys and one nearly naked female actress, everyone managed to not be creepy. As part of the crew, we pretty much sat and stood around talking about our favorite movies and counting heads to see who had snuck off to sleep in their car at any given time. We were on set from 5pm until well after 8am the next morning, so there was more of a “that lucky bastard” mentality about it than a judgmental one. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: yellow;">What did you bring to the set in the way of contributions to the film itself?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I oversaw the building of the set-</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: yellow;">So you had a management role?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
No, no. I just showed up with two of the grips and then sat my ass on an ice chest and watched them build the set.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: yellow;">Any actual filmmaking contributions?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I loaned my pocket knife to cut gels for the lights and also brought some water for the crew. Oh yeah, I also went and picked up pizza for everyone!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: yellow;">That was nice of you.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I didn’t actually pay for it.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: yellow;">I see. So, do you actually contribute anything to Hectic Films?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Yes, I do, and I don’t find your condescending attitude very productive to this interview process.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: yellow;">Whatever, it’s your brain dumb ass.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Anyway, I write reviews, help with the Facebook page management, have dabbled in skit writing, wrote a spec script for a short film idea, and post the Hectic Films Blog posts. As well as handle the craft table on film shoots and help out when needed on set.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: yellow;">Oh, so you are the one who comes up with the questions for the cool interview posts on the blog?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Well no, that is usually Jesse Najera and Sara Carey, I just copy and paste them onto the blog and edit them a little if needed.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: yellow;">Must be tough work and long hours, did you major in English at a community college?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
No, I actually never finished high school. I got my GED-</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: yellow;">That’s boring, no one cares. What have you written?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I’ve self-published four books and am currently working on my fifth right now. I’ve also been included in a handful of poetry anthologies over the years, and a couple Project Oh! Magazine issues. </div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: yellow;">Any current writing projects for Hectic Films?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I have a couple ideas in my head, yeah.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: yellow;">That’s great, ideas really pay the bills. So where can people learn more about you?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
People can find me on <a href="https://www.facebook.com/terrymcgheejr" target="_blank">Facebook</a> and they can actually help publish <a href="https://igg.me/at/SoNBook/x/2494968" target="_blank">Souvenir of Nowhere by going to the campaign on Indiegogo</a> and donating or just sharing it with friends, family, and strangers. </div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Let us collectively thank <a href="https://www.facebook.com/jesse.w.najera?fref=ts" target="_blank">Jesse Najera</a> and <a href="https://www.facebook.com/sara.carey.96?fref=ts" target="_blank">Sara Carey</a> for setting out into the forest with butterfly nets and questions as they tracked and humanely detained the faerie like beauty <a href="https://www.facebook.com/modelingbyericarey/" target="_blank">Erica Rey</a> for some <a href="https://www.facebook.com/hecticfilms/" target="_blank">Hectic Films</a> style questioning! Also, let us also be grateful they didn't pull any wings off during their interrogation. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: yellow;">Erica Rey is a beautiful and talented model and actress. What was your first experience in front of the camera?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
My very first experience in front of the camera was in church when I was about 3 or 4, I played Marry in the Christmas nativity scene. I have it on VHS somewhere.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-UMbpvGNM2_Y/V8nGKcYfwvI/AAAAAAAAdt4/Rs88AuzhEos04hc5htSpX_hd-93kv8G5wCLcB/s1600/e8.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-UMbpvGNM2_Y/V8nGKcYfwvI/AAAAAAAAdt4/Rs88AuzhEos04hc5htSpX_hd-93kv8G5wCLcB/s320/e8.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: yellow;">How did you get involved with working at Character Masters? What characters do you play?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I'm the B team for character masters who are based out of Los Angeles, CA, but have just recently started my own company here in town called <a href="https://www.facebook.com/BakersfieldFairytaleFriends/" target="_blank">Bakersfield Fairytale Friends</a>. Our slogan is "It's never too late to invite your BFF" Right now I have Elsa, Ariel, Tinkerbell, Belle and Snow White, but I plan on adding more starting with Rapunzel, as soon as possible.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-n1IqVmp7Kt4/V8nGYUgVzjI/AAAAAAAAdt8/gMwSTUEnJJU5m66lrnf1Ww8zELpghteyACLcB/s1600/e9.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-n1IqVmp7Kt4/V8nGYUgVzjI/AAAAAAAAdt8/gMwSTUEnJJU5m66lrnf1Ww8zELpghteyACLcB/s320/e9.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: yellow;">You have worked with Hectic Films on other projects, including the fan film "Camp Crystal Lake". Can you tell us what that experience was like and what other movies you've made with Hectic Films?</span> </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
"Camp Crystal Lake" was a long process. It was cold. It was bloody. But it was amazing. DT was the best Jason ever. And Jessica did her best for her first time on screen. I've been in a few films with the Hectic Films team. I started with "Tear Her", had a small part in "As The Man Drives", "Camp Crystal Lake", and then my best work, in my opinion, in "A Familiar Spirit", and finally but certainly not lastly, I have a small part in "Machine Gun Baby", along with my boyfriend, Christopher Puckett.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" class="YOUTUBE-iframe-video" data-thumbnail-src="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/zXLQMXMWoI8/0.jpg" frameborder="0" height="266" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/zXLQMXMWoI8?feature=player_embedded" width="320"></iframe></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: yellow;">You play in Hectic Films upcoming project "Machine Gun Baby". What can you tell us about your character and her place of employment?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
"Machine Gun Baby" was so much freaking fun! Best time I've ever had on set! I play a, not so very bright, secretary, at an abortion clinic. Classy, I know. Haha. But I can't give too much away just yet.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-b_E9-egEAus/V8nGg2Z_KKI/AAAAAAAAduA/KmKporqsbd4asESGDhUWwceEmUpIZLsbACLcB/s1600/e6.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-b_E9-egEAus/V8nGg2Z_KKI/AAAAAAAAduA/KmKporqsbd4asESGDhUWwceEmUpIZLsbACLcB/s320/e6.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: yellow;">You create a lot of your own modeling designs and often do your own hair and makeup. Any plans to get behind the camera more in regards to film making?</span> </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I actually started out behind the camera, but no one would pose the way I wanted so I switch spots to create my art. My dad is the one who instilled a passion in me for the behind the scenes. He himself wanted to become a director as a kid and now creates amazing sculptures in his spare time. So you can see where I get most of my creativity from. I had a chance to run the boom mic on set of MGB and it was a blast! I would love an opportunity to be behind the camera more often.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: yellow;">Finish this line: If you were not the strikingly beautiful model/actress Erica Rey; you would be Erica Rey, the strikingly beautiful...?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
If I wasn't a model/actress, if I had the opportunity to be anything I wanted, no money to account for, I would want to be a motivational speaker, to encourage young women. I would love to go to schools and have seminars, and be a voice of reason and redirection for the lost. ...or own a pit bull paradise owner, where I find happy homes all the pit bulls ever. Then end. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: yellow;">You have a great presence on social media sites like SnapChat and, almost, 2,000 followers on Facebook. Where can fans of Erica Rey go to follow you and see what your up to next?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
If anyone is interested in seeing my silly and sometimes boring shenanigans, you can find me on SnapChat at mscaptnmorgan. I have a Facebook page just called <a href="https://www.facebook.com/modelingbyericarey/?fref=ts" target="_blank">Erica Rey</a> that has all my modeling stuff. I have both a modeling Instagram and a personal Instagram. @modelingbyericarey and @the_erica_rey.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
Congrats to <a href="http://www.imdb.com/name/nm5199756/" target="_blank">Meghan Chadeayne</a> on her nominations for Breakout Action Film Star-Female-Short and Female Action Performer of the Year at the Action on Film Festival for Naked Zombie Girl! </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Hello! Thank you! It’s quite a thrill and amazing that Naked Zombie Girl (NZG) is still captivating audiences! </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-pIhXrtgpBfk/V8m3I26hrdI/AAAAAAAAds4/GiVTe1qyHvM1vVkhJYqyacJNqRJgUXOLwCLcB/s1600/14138001_10153589518911685_2442572433099996473_o.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="118" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-pIhXrtgpBfk/V8m3I26hrdI/AAAAAAAAds4/GiVTe1qyHvM1vVkhJYqyacJNqRJgUXOLwCLcB/s320/14138001_10153589518911685_2442572433099996473_o.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
1. How does it feel to get 2 nominations at the Action on Film Festival? </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Dreamlike, to be honest. Naked Zombie Girl is such a soft spot for me to this day. We filmed it almost three years ago, it was the very beginning of my journey, and the first time I put blind trust into a director, and complete reactive instinct into a performance. These nominations solidify my belief that Hectic Films created something magical when they filmed NZG. I couldn’t have received either nod without that entire team at my back. Even if I go home at the end of the night without either award, I’ll still be immensely proud of the film we’ve created. I doubt that will ever change.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<div style="text-align: justify;">
2. What was your favorite scene in Naked Zombie Girl?</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Oh man, of course, looking back, I’d do everything entirely different now, knowing what I do, but my favorite scene I think has to be the crowbar in the Cadillac. I love everything from the way it was shot, to the inserts, Josh’s zombie performance, and the way it amps up the ending kill scene. Just a phenomenal example of Hectic’s enticing cinematic and post production ability. </div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
3. How was it being naked on set for over 12 hours at a time?</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
As I tell anyone who asks about the revealing nature of NZG, it was fine. It was intimidating at first, but after I realized no one on set was inappropriate or I wasn’t being shot in a grotesque way, I relaxed and was able to focus on the performance. Besides, after the blood and guts were applied, I hardly felt naked.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
4. What are some of the other projects you are currently working on?</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This year is getting pretty busy already. Currently, I’m preparing for my next lead role in a horror-comedy called ‘Violet’ by filmmaker and photographer Chad Michael Ward of Underhaus Productions. After that, I have a science-fiction micro short to be shot in the desert. I’m playing Poison Ivy in a Batman fan film, I’ll be traveling to Sweden to film a horror-fantasy feature in 2017, and I’m in the process of putting one of my own scripts into production. 2017 looks to be pretty busy, but I’m excited to see what other adventures it holds. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ug4Sno7Cw9U/V8m3f9-U1rI/AAAAAAAAdtM/Mq-C3k8Fk7cF60h1GscNxpWETu_rolgxgCLcB/s1600/n2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ug4Sno7Cw9U/V8m3f9-U1rI/AAAAAAAAdtM/Mq-C3k8Fk7cF60h1GscNxpWETu_rolgxgCLcB/s320/n2.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
5. How did you get involved with the most explosive film company on earth, Hectic Films?</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I met the director, Rickey, on the set of another horror feature we were on! He jokingly pitched the idea to me and I agreed, within a few months, I was stripping down and killing zombies. That’s also when I learned Rickey’s crazy film ideas aren’t actually just crazy ideas, he gets them done, and I respect the hell out of that. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
6. What's your favorite show on Netflix?</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I have to choose just one? Show wise, I haven’t had time to binge too much of anything, but holy hell, I did squeeze in ‘Stranger Things’. I want to adopt Dustin, he’s my favorite, and I’m pretty certain Eleven makes for a kick-ass female protagonist. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Films… I recently watched Baskin, and found it to be a trip. If you’re into foreign horror that has beautifully set up shots, neon-tinted dewy coloring, and kill scenes that cause you to squirm, give this one a go! </div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
1. You seem to get really into your characters. Did you do any type of western style prepping for this film?</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I have always been a fan of classic westerns. I have been involved with The Gaslight Melodrama for many years which has provided bountiful experiences doing many western melodramas with my loving TGM family.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
2. What do you think was your favorite moment while filming Mable?</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Witnessing the talented crew work behind the scenes is so much fun. I loved meeting the horses especially. The many people dedicated their craft, tools, space, and time to bring it all together was so awe inspiring. At Ethel's Old Corral, I was Pat and Dave's bartender and to see what he had been hounding Rickey to do (a western) for so long finally come into production was heartwarming. I know Dave would be damn proud of that worm.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
3. How did you get involved in the most epic/mind blowing company in the world, Hectic Films?</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I worked with Rickey while shooting Matt Kieley's film Carte Blanche. That started it all!</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
4. What kinda stuff do you like on your tacos? Corn or Flour?</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Corn always! I love al pastor tacos with a pineapple mango salsa, or fish and shrimp tacos, or veggie tacos with bell pepper, onion, and avocado. I love tacos!!!</div>

1. So are you excited to be back at the Action on Film Festival this year?</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Yes, I am. I love Monrovia, CA. I feel like I step back in time out there, like its a 1970's town. Very clean and quite. The Action on Film Festival treated us more than nice and you don't forget that. I am also proud to be with team Hectic Films.When you back one of their films you can rest assure it's going to be a great film. Hectic Films has three awesome films in the festival this year. Mable, Naked Zombie Girl, and As the Man Drives.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
2. Tell us your favorite part about filming As The Man Drives?</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
My Favorite part of Filming As the Man Drives was actually the Script. After reading it I was stoked Rickey had the faith I could pull off such a character. We had a bunch of laughs driving around in that boat of a car that threatened to quit throughout filming. Of course, I'll never forget going into a freezing pool fully clothed and being laughed at by everyone involved. Gotta love the Hectic Films brotherhood.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
3. Any good stories on the set of As the Man Drives?</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I was in awe of the care given to the shots. Drone shots, underwater shots, trying to talk Rickey out of going into that freezing pool. I tried to tell him I'd come back in a few months when it wasn't so cold. Well we all know how that turned out. There is no saying, "No!" to Rickey Bird Jr.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<div style="text-align: justify;">
I am currently awaiting word from Chicago on my script of Redemption Owns a Gun. If green lit, you will see Hectic Films back at it with this real life mob story. I am also getting ready to work with Director Michael Rodriguez on his latest film Lake of Shadows.</div>

5. How many yards do you think you can throw a football?</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
Farther than uncle Rico, that's for sure. I don't need a time machine to prove it, I can do it now in 2016. I'll throw that pigskin the length of Monrovia, you'll see!</div>

6. Have you ever hit anyone while drinking a Pepsi?</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
No, I only drink Pepsi as a total last resort. I am a Coca-Cola man. I once hit a man who resembled a pirate with M.C Hammer pants on while sipping a coke, But that's for another time.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
Congrats To <a href="https://www.facebook.com/Batcrackers" target="_blank">Kelly Henderson</a> on the nomination at the Action on Film festival for best costumes on the short film Mable! </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-iM0eWOcAGSo/V8cjjW8ixnI/AAAAAAAAda0/IHGsTJ5N72snTy6FaYVFG9kM5HcWgm6jQCLcB/s1600/m0.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="118" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-iM0eWOcAGSo/V8cjjW8ixnI/AAAAAAAAda0/IHGsTJ5N72snTy6FaYVFG9kM5HcWgm6jQCLcB/s320/m0.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
1. The costumes look great in the film. What character's costume was the hardest in the film and why?</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Mable's costume was a little more difficult because not only were there a lot of buttons but when I measured her, she had recently found out that she was pregnant. So I had to take a wild guess at how much bigger I had to make it in order to fit her properly. In the end, it fit her perfectly!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-tJD_fgXcyp0/V8cj1F7P_uI/AAAAAAAAda4/hBF990yZp5YXgx7aFko2fCPYwqKoIAlRQCLcB/s1600/m4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-tJD_fgXcyp0/V8cj1F7P_uI/AAAAAAAAda4/hBF990yZp5YXgx7aFko2fCPYwqKoIAlRQCLcB/s320/m4.jpg" width="212" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
2. How long did it take you to make the costumes? </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I think I started 3 months ahead of time with buying materials, patterns and taking measurements but I was still rushing till the night before shooting to finish everyone's costumes because 8 people with shirt, trousers, vests, and handkerchiefs is a lot more work than I thought it would be, but very fun to do. Plus Rickey wanted everything to be authentic when it came to material and all so that can take more time when zippers were not invented yet.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
3. What is something you would recommend filmmakers should think about when making costumes for a western?</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
How hot is it going to be, lock down a specific time period, and work with wardrobe as far as character development. Clothes say a lot about a person.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
4. We watched the trailer for the new futurama live action fan film. What did you do on that project? What else are you currently working on?</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Oh, sweet! I was in charge of hair, so my job was coloring, cutting, and styling any wigs and/or real hair on the actors and actresses. Pretty much hair department. I just finished working on a project for Joseph Kahn doing hair work.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
5. How did you get involved with best indie film company on the planet?</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I got involved with Hectic Films through the very talented Nick Reisinger who asked, "Hey, wanna be a zombie AND make zombies?". The rest is history! Some of the most fun sets I've worked on have been through Hectic Films!</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: yellow;">You've attended San Diego State and NY Film Academy; how do you think these schools influenced your life regarding film?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The New York Film Academy forced me to look at movies and performances completely differently. I now see tiny details in movies, and the choices actors make in their performances. Method acting allowed me to take my raw skills and concentrate them in a more meaningful way. Meisner was one of the main classical methods I learned and having an absolute belief under imaginary circumstances has been invaluable to my acting. San Diego State helped broaden my thinking and help grow as a person. I actually went back to college to get my bachelors degree in Political Science and minored in Journalism. Acting takes dedication and years of study and practice; that is probably the closest relation to being a student at San Diego State. I have always wanted to graduate college because I like challenging myself.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: yellow;">Tell us about your first acting role and how you got started. What drew you to acting as a career choice? How did you become involved with hectic films?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
My first acting role that I auditioned for was a play in my hometown. I played Officer Brophy in "Arsenic and Old Lace". It wasn’t a large role, but I remember preparing for it as if I were the lead on Broadway. I’ve always loved to play “make believe” and acting always came naturally. I first became interested in acting, (believe it or not) when I saw "The Lion King". As soon as I found out that Jonathan Taylor Thomas played young Simba, I remember thinking, why the heck couldn’t I do that too? I became involved with Hectic Films through my friendship with Rachel Bird. We worked together in Burbank, CA and I got to know her husband Rickey Bird through Facebook. Very quickly we became friends. We had planned to work together much sooner although conflicts in scheduling never worked out. Recently Rickey asked me if I would be interested in auditioning for Jim in A Familiar Spirit, jumping at the chance, I of course said, “Yes!”</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-SuaLWWcvJ2s/V7_Uq2fWxDI/AAAAAAAAdZM/6sGA6FqdDuswPhVJyTgQEsmbl1nrwEiWgCLcB/s1600/7.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-SuaLWWcvJ2s/V7_Uq2fWxDI/AAAAAAAAdZM/6sGA6FqdDuswPhVJyTgQEsmbl1nrwEiWgCLcB/s320/7.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: yellow;">Is there a type of role that you feel drawn to, or wish you could play more?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I consider myself a nice, all-American type guy, so the thought of playing someone twisted with something wrong with them always intrigued me. I enjoy playing “the hero” but dramatic roles that challenge me as an actor are the most fun to play. For example, I would love to play someone like the Joker or Patrick Bateman in "American Psycho".</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/--R_n0xfBLGQ/V7_U6yoVvFI/AAAAAAAAdZU/fj30L8rqG88tuPNUEBMjXRSMeancaROjgCLcB/s1600/6.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/--R_n0xfBLGQ/V7_U6yoVvFI/AAAAAAAAdZU/fj30L8rqG88tuPNUEBMjXRSMeancaROjgCLcB/s320/6.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: yellow;">What movies do you feel were formative for you? Do you have a favorite movie genre or theme?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
A few films that I felt were formative for me were: "Saving Private Ryan", "Braveheart", and "American Beauty". I think my jaw was on the floor after watching each of those films. Every single one left a lasting impression on me. I absolutely love all types of films, but if I had to choose one movie genre or theme it’d have to be true-life stories. I appreciate great writing as much as the next person and I think writers deserve every bit of credit as the actors, but sometimes the most amazing stories come from actual events.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3MDlzuWZgSg/V7_VN4udc_I/AAAAAAAAdZY/nIHbCDuLzlY0YyiCI1QshuQDG2IR3vqeQCLcB/s1600/1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3MDlzuWZgSg/V7_VN4udc_I/AAAAAAAAdZY/nIHbCDuLzlY0YyiCI1QshuQDG2IR3vqeQCLcB/s320/1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: yellow;">Tell us about your character, Jim, in "A Familiar Spirit". What was it like to play him? Your character has a hard time believing in the paranormal. Do you feel the same way? How would you react if you were told, or thought, your house was haunted?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
There is definitely more to Jim than meets the eye. He is full of confidence and truly believes he can take on the world, but his lack of success in the entertainment industry is what’s keeping him back. He loves his girlfriend and wants to provide for her in every way he can, but like most struggling actors, money isn’t falling from the sky. He also passionately denies any possibility of there being ghosts in the house despite the overwhelming evidence to the contrary. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
It was great playing Jim, some of his offbeat humorous remarks are something I could see myself saying. Yes, Jim does have a hard time in believing in the paranormal, but I’m less skeptical than he is. I’m of the school of thought that you shouldn’t mess with stuff like that. Who knows if there is a “door you can’t close.” I’m not anxious to contact the paranormal. I’ve had some weird things happen and that’s about as close as I ever want to get. If someone told me my house was haunted, I would stay with family or friends and sell the house immediately. Now that I’m thinking about it, I’d also probably sue the realtor and previous owner for not disclosing the fact that the house was haunted!</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: yellow;">You only get to watch one actor for the rest of your life, you can't see any other movies if they don't play a role in them. Who would you choose and why?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Wow, that’s a tough one! I have so many people that I look up to, but if I could only watch one person for the rest of my life, I’d choose Robin Williams. His talent truly blows me away and he was one of the most diverse actors around. His stand-up comedy had me in stitches laughing, and his dramatic roles were truly heartbreaking. One of my favorite things to do was to act out his standup to friends and family. His passing was absolutely devastating. It was one of the few times I felt like someone had punched me in the stomach when I heard that he had passed away. </div>

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: yellow;">And finally, what would your advice be to budding actors?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
My advice to budding actors is to follow your heart. Don’t compromise your character or integrity for the sake of a role. Stay true to yourself and know your worth. Another tip is to be kind to everyone! Even if you are having a terrible day, you don’t want to be known as a difficult actor to work with. I would also say it’s important to act as much as you can. Audition for plays, read scripts and truly become an expert. Lastly, one of the best pieces of advice I have ever been given was, set a time limit on how long you are willing to pursue acting with no real success. If after 7 years, or however long you choose, you are not happy with where you are at, do something else and move on with your life. I believe one of the saddest things is wasting your entire life on something that may never happen. Some people are perfectly fine taking that chance. But that is something that you have figure out for yourself.</div>

Tracking down the ever elusive and always on the go <a href="http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1847621/" target="_blank">Dana (D.T.) Carney</a> is no easy feat, but <a href="https://www.facebook.com/jesse.w.najera?fref=ts" target="_blank">Jesse Najera</a> managed to do just that. <a href="https://www.facebook.com/hecticfilms/?fref=ts" target="_blank">Hectic Films</a> is proud and honored to offer that interview to the masses. <div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
D.T. Carney was born in Boston, MA in 1965. A New Englander through and through, D.T. is known for his sharp wit as well as his huge presence in life and on the screen. D.T. is the father of four and lives in the Fresno, CA area with his wife Georgia. With many experiences in life, growing up in Boston, being a champion boxer, hockey player, and accomplished musician, D.T.’s vast list of talents lend themselves well to his many Acting ventures. </div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: yellow;">How did Dana Carney discover his interest in film acting?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I was a kid in Boston and was fortunate enough to go to the movies and get into any of them, rated R or not. I saw Jaws, Night of the Living Dead, The Omega Man, etc. I remember my dad taking me to Halloween and that movie made me want to get into acting. I liked the idea of playing a monster or the like.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-BwTCwhuaYRc/V6qNpszcvtI/AAAAAAAAdKE/07VXdreY5GwCPmFF5wTDIAHLaDm2sXu1ACLcB/s1600/deskwactorscrew.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="252" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-BwTCwhuaYRc/V6qNpszcvtI/AAAAAAAAdKE/07VXdreY5GwCPmFF5wTDIAHLaDm2sXu1ACLcB/s320/deskwactorscrew.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: yellow;">You have the ability to utilize a very distinct American accent and personality in the performance of some of the characters you've played. Where were you raised and how has your upbringing influenced your performances?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Boston and the east coast in general, have a ton to do with how you act. I never liked taking shit from anyone. Who does? So you got to have an attitude that lets others know it. I wouldn't change growing up over there for anything. We grew up pretty poor. You learn to adapt to it and be thankful for things.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: yellow;">You have a long list of acting film credits with some notable, fellow, actors. Can you talk about the first film that you were in and what that experience was like?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The first film I did was playing a killer scarecrow in an indie film called Nightwalkers. It was directed by a friend of mine Steve Haack. It was a great experience because Scream Queen Brinke Stevens was also in it. She is the kindest person you could ever meet. We've been friends for over ten years now. I have had the pleasure of working with some awesome people like Felissa Rose, Deron Miller, Lynn Lowry, Reggie Bannister, Vernon Wells, and Joe Estevez. I just worked with Brinke again in Hectic Films’ Machine Gun Baby. I also worked with amazing talents Jin N Tonic & George the Giant in that same film.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: yellow;">You have worked on a number of <a href="https://www.facebook.com/hecticfilms/" target="_blank">Hectic Films Productions</a> projects, playing a variety of roles in a variety of film genres. Can you tell us a little about working with the Hectic Films cast and crew, as well as some of the Hectic Films projects you have been involved in?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I LOVE HECTIC! Plain and Simple. Rachel & Rickey Bird have always treated me so kindly. I am a little rough around the edges and they both manage to look the other way for me. They have given me nothing but awesome roles in their films. Rachel and Rickey have put me up in a helicopter shooting at a speeding car. They made me the leader of a homeless camp, a drunken detective, a kid eating zombie. How can you go wrong? I love the people they have surrounded themselves with. They use the same people on crew, f/x, etc. over and over. We have become a tight family. I love being on the set with all of them.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: yellow;">In the new <a href="https://www.facebook.com/hecticfilms/" target="_blank">Hectic Films</a> project; <a href="https://www.facebook.com/machinegunbabymovie/" target="_blank">Machine Gun Baby</a>, you play a character in the "medical field". Can you tell us a little bit about your role and how you prepared for that character?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
It’s an awesome role for me, as I get to be a little comedic. I play Dr. Spurlock, an abortion doctor. His only care in the world is money and getting more of it. He is quite a character as he is a drinking, whoring, golfing, ego maniac. I will tell you this, MACHINE GUN BABY will open your eyes one way or the other. I've never worked on anything like it before. I prepared for this character by actually watching Dabney Coleman's portrayal of Doctor Prang in Young Doctors in Love. This film is going to upset the apple cart no matter what your views on abortion are. I got to work with such a fun talented cast on this, from Brinke Stevens to Jared Rice, George the Giant, and a trooper of an actress Jin N Tonic.</div>

All of us at <a href="http://www.facebook.com/hecticfilms" target="_blank">Hectic Films</a> thought it would be fun to send Jesse Najera out on a task to wrangle and interview a giant, but the joke was on us cause he managed to track down the loving and generous <a href="https://www.facebook.com/GeorgeTheGiant" target="_blank">George the Giant</a> and capture this great interview!</div>

<div>
<div>
<span style="color: #eeeeee;">What did you experience that led to an interest in the sideshow arts?</span></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
There are several parts to this story. </div>
<div>
1 - when I was 12 years old I went to the Kern County Fair and saw the sword swallower & fire eater perform on the Bally Stage. I was amazed at what the human body could do, and at that time I knew that was "real magic", and not what magicians did.</div>
<div>
2 - when I was 21 an incident happened in my life that made me have a fear of fire. I'm one of those people that if I'm scared of heights, I bungee jump. So I decided to eat fire.</div>
</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-RoUPH_3vMx8/V3MMDj1o8lI/AAAAAAAAcdQ/N1f2Jnbj06I2Xi3W2Gs-5MoEalabn_B7QCLcB/s1600/g6.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-RoUPH_3vMx8/V3MMDj1o8lI/AAAAAAAAcdQ/N1f2Jnbj06I2Xi3W2Gs-5MoEalabn_B7QCLcB/s320/g6.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div>
<div>
<span style="color: #eeeeee;">You are a sideshow performer who performs a variety of sideshow stunts; one of which is fire breathing. While you once had a fear of fire, how are you able to, now, perform fire breathing stunts? Can you share what caused your fear of fire?</span></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
As I said when I was 21 an incident occurred. Someone broke into my brother's home, tied him up. lit him on fire, and left him to die. He survived, but it left him with a fear of fire. And in so doing, left me with a fear of fire.</div>
</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>

<span style="color: #eeeeee;">What led to you being cast in films and an appearance on the tonight show with Jay Leno?</span></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Being cast in film and television is the old story, it's who you know. I was doing Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios working with a great contortionist named Bonnie Morgan. She was doing the Grinch Stole Christmas during the Run. At the time she was 15 so her dad had to take her. Her father is a stunt performer and coordinator, he was in the original Pete's Dragon. Well, one of his friends called him up and said, "We need a henchman who can do something really, really strange". He gave them my name, I received the call, and three days later I was in Vegas shooting a TV show for UPN called "The Strip."</div>
<div>
The Tonight Show, The Late Show, and some of the other TV shows I've done are the same thing. People know who I am, what I do, want something odd, and I get called.</div>

<div>
<span style="color: #eeeeee;">Can you talk about the films and television shows you've been cast in and what actors you've played alongside?</span></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Everyone knows about the movie Big Fish, where I got to perform with Danny DeVito and Ewan McGregor. The experience I had with Danny DeVito was something that I will have for the rest of my life.</div>
<div>
I did a movie called "Firecracker" with Karen Black. She was a very odd and unusual actress that played great strange characters.</div>
<div>
Another movie I did was called "Tough Luck" with Armand Assante, Norman Reedus ("Boondock Saints" and "The Walking Dead") and Dagmara Dominczyk from ("Count of Monte Cristo"). I Had very little interaction with the main actors except for on screen. Norman and Armand showed great respect of the stunts I did.</div>
<div>
I have also done TV shows ranging from "America's Got Talent", "Life According to Jim", "CSI Vegas", "Nitro Circus", and "A 1000 Ways To Die".</div>

<div>
<div>
<span style="color: #eeeeee;">You have a towering role in the new Hectic Films project; Machine Gun Baby with director Rickey Bird. What can you tell us about your character and your experience with the cast and crew of Hectic Films?</span></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
There is nothing I can say about Rickey Bird that is not already in the police report!</div>
<div>
I've known Rickey for several years. We worked on a movie where he was doing the special effects of the blood blast from a shotgun where I was shot in the face. We ended up doing a scene that was supposed to take 40 minutes to shoot... it took 5 hours so we had a lot of time to chat.</div>
<div>
Whenever he's shooting films I try to donate to the project or help him in any way I can by putting him in contact with people, this just so happened to be one time he wanted me in the actual film. The character he wanted me to do was... so disgusting... how could I say, "No"?</div>
</div>

<div>
<span style="color: #eeeeee;">Can you share just a few of the stunts you perform, for the brave of heart? Where can fans go to follow and gets updates on George The Giant?</span></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I use several of the classic Sideshow stunts. Sword swallowing, fire eating, glass walking, bed of nails, and old-time strongman stunts. I also do my own twist on weight lifting, using fish hooks and weights from my eye sockets. The thing that made Sharon Osbourne say I was the most disgusting person she knows, is a stunt called "crazy straw".</div>

<br />
<span style="color: #cccccc;">I have to ask about your kick ass name ☆Jin N Tonic☆ Do you ever use your real name? Why Jin N Tonic?</span><br />
<br />
Real names are boring, and I haven't gone by mine for a long time. In high school, I had a variety of nicknames, but Jin N Tonic started as a fake Facebook name and just stuck. It feels right. Everyone except my grandparents calls me Jin. A friend and I got pulled over once, and the cop was like, 'This guy doesn't know your real name, is that normal?' Yes, yes it is. Pretty sure they thought I was a prostitute.<br />

<div style="text-align: justify;">
I pride myself in my diversity and it's what I'm most known for in my modeling career (that and my great knockers), and I use my diversity and my cans to my advantage with every role I play.</div>

<span style="color: #eeeeee;">In addition to modeling, your an actor. You've played a variety of roles. Can you talk about the types of characters you've played in the past and your sense of versatility?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
My acting career began ten years ago in the indie film "Person of Interest" in which I played, you guessed it, an underage prostitute. I like to joke that I've been typecast ever since, but that's not true. I've also played a stripper on multiple occasions!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: #eeeeee;">You play an interesting part in Hectic Films new project; Machine Gun Baby. What can you tell us about your character?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
When I read the script, I was pretty disgusted by my character, which continued through the entire time on set. I am just such a skank in the film. Every time I passed a mirror or window I would get a little bit upset with just how perfectly trashy I looked. After all, I was basically wearing my own clothes out of my own closet, and my hair is naturally just that skank-tastic. There was a lot of blood, a lot of boobs (mine), and a lot of fun filming Machine Gun Baby. It ended with me naked and sticky taking a whore bath in the sink. </div>

Our director Rickey Bird is a fellow badass and we run in a lot of the same circles. It was an honor to be a part of his cast, and I look forward to more, trashy fun in the future!</div>

<span style="background-color: black;"><span style="font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;"><span style="color: white;">I got a Masters degree in marine biology from Scripps Institute in San Diego CA. I thought I’d remain in science all my life, but fate had other plans. I’d never aspired to be an actor, and never expected to become a cult icon of horror movies. As such, it’s hard to say that my upbringing shaped my performance because horror films require you to do things that never happen in real life, like scream bloody murder, run in terror, chase people with a machete, or get pulled apart by demons. To quote a line from one of my favorite films, NIGHTMARE SISTERS: “Advanced trigonometry never prepared me for this!” </span></span><span style="background-color: black;"><br clear="none" style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px; text-align: start;" /><br /> </span></span></div>

<span style="background-color: black;">You were a member of a comic book club in college while in San Diego. In the early days of Comic-con, you cosplayed Vampirella. The comic book community and the television/film community have a symbiotic relationship. This is most apparent in the type of genre you, typically, perform in {scream Queen/ B movies}. Can you talk about that time and how the comic conventions have influenced you as well as how this comic-con community has influenced the horror genre?</span></span></span><span style="background-color: black;"><br clear="none" style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px; text-align: start;" /><br clear="none" style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px; text-align: start;" /><span style="font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;"><span style="color: white;">I was one of the early founders of San Diego Comic-Con, and I ran the masquerade contest for many years in the 1970s. This came after I won first place for portraying Vampirella in 1973. Later, I staged elaborate costumed dance routines during the intermission to popular songs such as “Funeral for a Friend”, “Killer Queen”, “Ballroom Blitz”, and so on. I’d say it was Comic-Con and fandom that really prepared me for an acting career that began in the early 1980s.</span></span></span><span style="color: #222222; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px;"> </span></span><br />

There is never a dull moment when you’re riding around with <a href="http://www.hecticfilms.com/" target="_blank">Hectic Films</a>. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
There’s something new stirring the shadows at Hectic Films Productions, and you might want to bring a friend or two when you see it.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3ZZKz4huGZ8/VwRoWtooVXI/AAAAAAAAbQ8/IaGVOzqWHs0HI2cHoMFygIthFGZ7994Dw/s1600/fs1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3ZZKz4huGZ8/VwRoWtooVXI/AAAAAAAAbQ8/IaGVOzqWHs0HI2cHoMFygIthFGZ7994Dw/s320/fs1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
A Familiar Spirit is a short film that reaches deep into the pages of history and horror to bring you a modern day masterpiece of madness and mayhem. Hoping to make its way to Hollywood later this year and into Screamfest, AFS is a story where the darkness breathes, nightmares live, and demons dwell. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<o:p><br /></o:p></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-FxFVtMvIm_8/VwRoc23mmPI/AAAAAAAAbRA/J3gGn9RyEzwR5lQZjU_chcwSe_C9BNZEQ/s1600/fs2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-FxFVtMvIm_8/VwRoc23mmPI/AAAAAAAAbRA/J3gGn9RyEzwR5lQZjU_chcwSe_C9BNZEQ/s320/fs2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
It might not look like it, but these amazingly talented and beautiful people just love to create horror, and they do it so well. Whether you're a fan of Hectic Films, or a new recruit, there is a catalog of greatness already out there, but it doesn't seem to slow them down from continuing to make amazing films at a hectic pace.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-pS0zlwBtSyQ/VwRpD5SfAsI/AAAAAAAAbRY/lemv87CpRCA4hzpPssmAn1ae9aEWn_Asg/s1600/fs4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-pS0zlwBtSyQ/VwRpD5SfAsI/AAAAAAAAbRY/lemv87CpRCA4hzpPssmAn1ae9aEWn_Asg/s320/fs4.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
Whether it’s directing actors and crew, or showing off his T-Rex impersonations, Rickey Bird is quickly becoming a master storyteller on the Indie Film scene. Making Rickey's ideas a reality is no easy task, but the camera crew stepped up to every challenge and never hesitated to find a way to get the shot that was asked of them.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5TL0wqJ0-bM/VwRouezYhtI/AAAAAAAAbRM/9G6GpCrx5Z00u8zpiCFey0lRGnOk39bVA/s1600/fs3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5TL0wqJ0-bM/VwRouezYhtI/AAAAAAAAbRM/9G6GpCrx5Z00u8zpiCFey0lRGnOk39bVA/s320/fs3.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
Kelly Henderson creates the creepy while the actors and crew bring this little short film to fruition. Putting in extra long hours and effort to give it leathery wings of wickedness as well as more than a few armrest-gripping moments of suspense and surprise to keep you on (and off) the edge of your seat.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
Don’t be fooled by the smiling faces in these behind the scenes pictures, when the film makes its debut, you’re going to want to trim your nails so you don’t break one in a panic of fear and flailing!</div>

As Halloween quickly approaches, there seems to be a quiet stirring in the midnight air. That subtle noise that draws your attention as you lay awake at night, wondering if you are indeed as alone as you thought!<br />
<br />
Fear you should, for <a href="https://www.facebook.com/hecticfilms" target="_blank">Hectic Films</a> in association with <a href="https://www.facebook.com/curtisnoblephotography" target="_blank">Curtis Noble Photography</a> & <a href="https://www.facebook.com/projectoh" target="_blank">Project Oh! Magazine</a> have been burning up the midnight oil to produce and film a new terror short for your Halloween enjoyment.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-7tQtMUuQZqs/VjBHN2uNiDI/AAAAAAAAZIc/NtRbg1m6ARg/s1600/CrystalLakeBTS%2B%252831%2529Marked.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="251" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-7tQtMUuQZqs/VjBHN2uNiDI/AAAAAAAAZIc/NtRbg1m6ARg/s320/CrystalLakeBTS%2B%252831%2529Marked.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<em><br /></em>
<em>Camp Crystal Lake</em> is a fan film short from the world of Friday the 13th. Starring <a href="https://www.facebook.com/JessicaAliciaBertrand" target="_blank">Jessica Bertrand</a>, <a href="https://www.facebook.com/ericamorganmodeling" target="_blank">Erica Morgan</a>, and <a href="http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1847621/" target="_blank">D.T. Carney</a> as Jason Vorhees, the hockey mask wearing lover of weaponry and murder! Oh how it warms my horror loving heart just thinking about it!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-xAG59chX-JE/VjBG7rxfnOI/AAAAAAAAZIU/dbtqfLb99EA/s1600/CrystalLakeBTS%2B%252813%2529MArked.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-xAG59chX-JE/VjBG7rxfnOI/AAAAAAAAZIU/dbtqfLb99EA/s320/CrystalLakeBTS%2B%252813%2529MArked.jpg" width="251" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Camp Crystal Lake is the brainchild of the award winning <a href="http://www.imdb.com/name/nm3626959/" target="_blank">Rickey Bird</a> from <a href="http://hecticfilms.com/" target="_blank">Hectic Films</a> and Curtis Noble of <a href="https://www.facebook.com/curtisnoblephotography" target="_blank">Curtis Noble Photography</a>. Curtis actually discovered the location while snapping some awesome pictures for his photography business and mentioned it to Rickey. Together they quickly drove up and scouted this deserted area to make sure it hadn't been torn down, or over run by bears. Seeing that all was well, they rallied the troops and headed off to film.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-aXN7nfSQNsQ/VjBHpK9dQkI/AAAAAAAAZIs/1iNPX5OBsf0/s1600/CrystalLakeBTS%2B%2528257%2529Marked.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-aXN7nfSQNsQ/VjBHpK9dQkI/AAAAAAAAZIs/1iNPX5OBsf0/s320/CrystalLakeBTS%2B%2528257%2529Marked.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
However, this last minute idea never would have happened on it's own. In fact, the call to arms went out not long ago and was answered swiftly by local artists, actors, and entrepreneurs.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6LmXP8Xzj9c/VjBHZXjNHFI/AAAAAAAAZIk/-F_AY0LQ61I/s1600/CrystalLakeBTS%2B%25287%2529Marked.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="251" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6LmXP8Xzj9c/VjBHZXjNHFI/AAAAAAAAZIk/-F_AY0LQ61I/s320/CrystalLakeBTS%2B%25287%2529Marked.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<a href="https://www.facebook.com/jermzv2" target="_blank">Jeremy Gonzalez</a>, the founder of <a href="https://www.facebook.com/projectoh" target="_blank">Project Oh! Magazine</a> jumped on board and brought <a href="https://www.facebook.com/noimagephotography" target="_blank">No Image Photography</a> to this table of terror. In addition, Curtis Noble of <a href="https://www.facebook.com/curtisnoblephotography" target="_blank">Curtis Noble Photography</a> slashed some time from a very busy schedule to be a part of this fan film project. The actors, <a href="https://www.facebook.com/JessicaAliciaBertrand" target="_blank">Jessica Bertrand</a>, <a href="https://www.facebook.com/ericamorganmodeling" target="_blank">Erica Morgan</a>, and <a href="http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1847621/" target="_blank">D.T. Carney</a> heard the idea and fell in love with it as well, making time and sacrifices to make sure <a href="https://www.facebook.com/hecticfilms" target="_blank">Hectic Films</a> could get this out to the people by Halloween 2015!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ceVyuNdkHqs/VjBH4aUj1_I/AAAAAAAAZI0/9_e2juHtEXw/s1600/CrystalLakeBTS%2B%252877%2529Marked.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ceVyuNdkHqs/VjBH4aUj1_I/AAAAAAAAZI0/9_e2juHtEXw/s320/CrystalLakeBTS%2B%252877%2529Marked.jpg" width="251" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
There were others who headed out into the night to make sure this project got done as well. Among those who waded out into the post mud slides darkness are <a href="https://www.facebook.com/Kakarot120" target="_blank">Rickey Bird III</a>, <a href="https://www.facebook.com/da404lewzer" target="_blank">Charlie Jacquez</a>, and others!<br />
<br />
<a href="http://theindiefilmgroup.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/crystal-lake-poster-3.jpg"><img alt="crystal lake poster 3" class="size-medium wp-image-791 aligncenter" src="http://theindiefilmgroup.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/crystal-lake-poster-3-189x300.jpg" height="400" width="252" /></a><br />
<br />
Even after all this sacrifice and hard work, <em>Camp Crystal Lake</em> still needed a little extra help to get it ready for it's Halloween release! Enter the ever cunning magician of post production magic <a href="http://www.imdb.com/name/nm3096586/" target="_blank">Jason Sanders</a> of <a href="https://www.facebook.com/cinertain" target="_blank">Cinertain Drive-In Bakersfield</a>, who dedicated time and resources to this project, while juggling many others at the same time!<br />
<br />

<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-CHjGihAtHNs/VjBIPJVWHKI/AAAAAAAAZI8/AV4WZp1X148/s1600/CrystalLakeBTS%2B%252852%2529Marked.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-CHjGihAtHNs/VjBIPJVWHKI/AAAAAAAAZI8/AV4WZp1X148/s320/CrystalLakeBTS%2B%252852%2529Marked.jpg" width="251" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
While Team <a href="https://www.facebook.com/hecticfilms" target="_blank">Hectic Films</a> scampered about tying up loose ends, as well as witnesses, and finishing the film, actor and model <a href="https://www.facebook.com/ericamorganmodeling" target="_blank">Erica Morgan</a> had an idea. Why just stop at releasing it online? Why not find an amazing Halloween Party event to showcase it?<br />
<br />
That is when Patrick and Priscilla Spurlock got involved and with the help of <a href="https://www.facebook.com/KSVGRadio" target="_blank">89.7fm (KSVG Savage Radio)</a> and <a href="https://www.facebook.com/sandrinis.bar" target="_blank">Sandrini's Bar</a>, offered to bring the unedited version of Camp Crystal Lake to the <a href="https://www.facebook.com/events/1020797331285316/" target="_blank">Phantom Strangers Halloween Boogeyman Jam</a> on Saturday October 31st.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-1YLHII_BQzY/VjBIaR0HNkI/AAAAAAAAZJE/wbexsrFDSlo/s1600/CrystalLakeBTS%2B%2528287%2529Marked.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-1YLHII_BQzY/VjBIaR0HNkI/AAAAAAAAZJE/wbexsrFDSlo/s320/CrystalLakeBTS%2B%2528287%2529Marked.jpg" width="251" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
That's right folks, anyone and everyone can watch the edited version when it releases to stream for free on October 30th, and then the party people can get down to <a href="https://www.facebook.com/sandrinis.bar" target="_blank">Sandrini's</a> on Saturday and watch the full version, with a hint of nudity on Saturday!<br />
