I remember going to the melodrama when I was very young with my grandma. We never missed a holiday show and loved going whenever we could. The actors, the stages, the crowd cheering... it's what made me what to get into acting and, of course, get into film. Now, twenty years later, I am going to finally be a part of some of the magic that happens onstage at the new Melodrama in Bakersfield, CA.
I got to team up with the very creative Michael Prince and shoot a scene for his upcoming show, "Hooray for Hollywood." I have been taking my family to share the magic I had felt as a child since the Melodrama moved. What an honor to be a part of a project like that! :) The scene that I filmed was a scene from the movie they are making in the play. Shaun and Ally did a great job in bringing back that old Hollywood feel. The show Hooray For Hollywood will be from March 22 through May 4th at the Melodrama in Bakersfield,CA.
